Chulmleigh is situated just off the magnificent A377, 25 miles from Exeter or 19 miles from Barnstaple. It can also be reached from the M5 via Tiverton (20 miles) and a long stretch of country lanes. Once in the centre of the village proceed along Fore Street, at the end of which is situated the old village pump. Keep to the left of the pump and after a few yards the main road bears right and down a steep hill. DO NOT turn down the hill. Instead go straight ahead and pass Davey Park on your left. The road narrows and after a couple of bends the cul-de-sac of Cricket Close is ahead. The entrance to the cricket ground is immediately on the right. Proceed down the drive to the gate of the cricket ground’s outer field but please observe the speed limit and also be aware there may be livestock in the outer field so if the second gate is closed upon your arrival, please close it after you.
There is a railway station at Eggesford, a stop on the Tarka Line from Exeter to Barnstaple, about 3 miles from the town.
The après-cricket events take place in The Old Court House, situated on South Molton Street. There is a car park just beyond the pub after turning right into Kings Park.
The interactive map below shows the location of the cricket ground with the info window. You can move the map by dragging your mouse over it or adjust the zoom with the controls on the left.
